Question:
What can be done for Raynaud's syndrome?

Answer:
Raynaud's syndrome or phenomena is a condition where the blood supply to the fingers or toes (digits) is cut off when they are exposed to cold. Typically, the digits turn white and then blue. During an attack, there is often a feeling of tingling, numbness, or burning in the affected fingers or toes. Upon warming the digits usually turn red.

Two natural medicines with confirmed benefit in Raynaud's syndrome are inositol hexaniacinate (a safe non-flushing form of niacin) and Ginkgo biloba extract. In fact, both of these substances are approved for the medical treatment of Raynaud's phenomena in Europe. The standard dose for inositol hexaniacinate is 600 mg three times daily. For Ginkgo biloba extract (24% ginkgo flavonglycosides) the dosage is 40 mg three times daily. I would also recommend keeping the hand and feet as warm as possible, avoid cigarette smoke, and follow a regular exercise program.

BodyBalance: MineralCheckMineralCheck is a safe, easy-to-use, and reliable screen that uses a small hair sample to measure your mineral and toxic metal levels. Hair samples show the long-term accumulation of minerals and heavy metals in your system. Hair is nourished from your bloodstream where minerals and toxics are found. This non-invasive and inexpensive screen provides you with the accuracy of a laboratory analysis without leaving the comfort of your own home. Exposure to heavy metals is linked to many different health conditions including high blood pressure, depression, attention deficit, disorder, and many neurological diseases. Even mild toxicity can lead to headache, fatigue, and impaired ability to think or concentrate.
