Question:
Are there any herbal alternatives to Viagra?

Answer:
Not exactly. Viagra produces rather immediate results. Herbal approaches tend to be less effective in the short-term because they focus on getting at the "root" of the problem by improving the activity of the male glandular system, blood supply to erectile tissue, or enhancing the transmission of nerve signals. The two best choices for most men are Potency wood or Muira puama (Ptychopetalum olacoides) and Ginkgo biloba extract.

Potency wood or Muira puama (Ptychopetalum olacoides) has long been used by natives of Brazil as an aphrodisiac and nerve stimulant. A recent study at the Institute of Sexology in Paris found that taking a daily dose of 1 to 1.5 grams of extract raised libido in more than sixty percent of patients and helped more than half of those who complained of erection failure. Recent evidence indicates Ginkgo biloba extract appears to be effective in the treatment of erectile dysfunction caused by lack of blood flow. Be sure to select a product that is standardized to contain twenty-four percent ginkgo heterosides (flavonglycosides) and take 40 to 80 mg three times a day. Long-term therapy - at least twelve weeks - is usually necessary before you see results.

Spotlight: MineralCheck

BodyBalance: MineralCheckMineralCheck is a safe, easy-to-use, and reliable screen that uses a small hair sample to measure your mineral and toxic metal levels. Hair samples show the long-term accumulation of minerals and heavy metals in your system. Hair is nourished from your bloodstream where minerals and toxics are found. This non-invasive and inexpensive screen provides you with the accuracy of a laboratory analysis without leaving the comfort of your own home. Exposure to heavy metals is linked to many different health conditions including high blood pressure, depression, attention deficit, disorder, and many neurological diseases. Even mild toxicity can lead to headache, fatigue, and impaired ability to think or concentrate.
